Duterte tells UN expert 'to go to hell' over criticism

Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte has told a U.N human rights expert who said the nation's legal autonomy was under danger to 'go to hell', cautioning against impedance in local undertakings.

The Philippine Supreme Court voted a month ago to evacuate Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, whom Duterte had called an "adversary" for voting against dubious government proposition, referring to infringement in the way she was appointed.
